A useful and meaningful summary of my online journey. This site is dedicated to all doctors who want to learn to do business online seriously. 90% of the content on this site particularly focuses on procedures and principles useful for getting your content indexed on the first page of Google. Your videos, the articles on your blog, your website – who wouldn’t want to see them at the top of Google’s search results?
The first site I indexed in the search engine was about seduction. In Italy, for years, anyone searching for the keyword ‘seduction course’ on Google would find my site in the top position. That was over fifteen years ago. I was just over twenty years old.
When I became a psychologist, I was penniless for several years. Then one day, I thought, why not try to create a site and index it on Google? So, I created a site about couple therapy, and within a month, I was in the first position. I still had the knack. I’ll never understand why for so many years I lived as if that computer-obsessed kid never existed.
For years, anyone searching for a couple therapist in Rome found me as the first result, and I never paid anything to be there. I just used the techniques that I explain in this blog. This made a huge difference in my work because from having a couple of clients a week, I moved to not being able to accept them all.
I had to change my business model because I had reached the limit of what I could do and earn that way. I needed a radical change in perspective and opted for an event-based business, which, as I wrote in a different article some time ago, is still my favorite business model.
As the term itself suggests, event-based business is a business founded on creating events, which can be online events, webinars, or my favorite, live events. I love public speaking. Thanks to my events, I managed to grow my business further in a very short time.
How does it work? You call a hotel, book a conference room with a capacity of 100-150 people. You hold a course as if it were a university lecture and at the end, you sell your products and services.
Imagine how wasteful it would be to talk to 150 people one at a time; it’s better to put them all in one big event and present yourself in front of everyone. That’s the principle.
How do I fill my events every month? In this case, SEO is not involved. It’s not part of my strategy. What I use are social networks, especially LinkedIn and Facebook. I have an advanced social selling strategy. You can find my tecniques in the social selling article in home.
In summary, I currently have several online businesses with different “souls.” The main engine of some of these businesses is obviously SEO techniques, for others, it’s a strategic use of social networks. Not everything can be done through Google. Which path is worth taking is a personal choice and depends on the type of business.
